AngstroLooper

AngstroLooper is old and not maintained by me any more, because time is short! If it works for you, that's great, if not ... look around for other alternatives. Sorry !

Angstrolooper is really a rediculously long delay, it partly emulates an old style tape loop system – but rather than trying to model something that it isn't, AngstroLooper is designed to be easy to use tool on a laptop while playing live.

Now with upgraded sound, tighter timing and better midi controller assignment for non standard hosts such as Cubase ;-p

Win 7 VST permissions

Vista and Windows 7 users :
By default Windows 7 and Vista do not allow saving to your VST Plugins folder.
This prevents SynthEdit VSTs from extracting embedded SEM Modules to disk.
You can fix this by changing the folder's Permissions:
- Use Windows Explorer (win+e) to browse to your VST Plugins folder.
- Right-click the folder - 'Properties'
- Choose 'Security' tab.
- Click 'Edit' button (You may need to click a UAC prompt).
- Select username "Users".
- Tick options Allow 'Write' and 'Modify'.
- To finish Select 'OK' to close the two dialog boxes.

Optical soviet synthesizer. 


Virtual ANS is a software simulator of the unique Russian synthesizer ANS - photoelectronic microtonal/spectral musical instrument created by Russian engineer Evgeny Murzin from 1938 to 1958. Murzin named his invention in honour of the composer Alexander Nikolayevich Scriabin.
The instrument was used by Stanislav Kreichi, Alfred Schnittke, Edison Denisov, Sofia Gubaidulina, Edward Artemiev and other Soviet composers.
You can hear the sound of the ANS in Andrei Tarkovsky's movies Solaris, The Mirror, Stalker.
In 2004, the British experimental group Coil released CoilANS, a boxed set of experimental drone music performed on the ANS.
