Giant Verb is an analog-inspired reverb effect optimized for low CPU consumption. The plugin emulates the behavior of analog hardware reverbs, in the sense that the input stage can be overdrive to warm up the signal. At the same time, the plugin is optimized to run smoothly even on slower computers that don’t boast the latest specs.

Another interesting feature is the reverb modulation. Add some modulation to the reverb signal to simulate irregular spaces like caverns and cavernous halls. This type of reverb works especially well for epic vocals and choir sounds.

Sphere reverb

Sphere is an algorithmic reverb plugin based on a modified Schroeder reverberator model.
The three main controls are used to adjust the reverb’s early reflections, damping, and stereo width properties. Furthermore, the user can control the pre-delay time (up to 250 ms), feedback amount, and the cutoff frequency of the built-in low-pass filter.

Latticereverb

LatticeReverb is a reverb using lattice structure. Equipped with 16 delays per channel.
Lattice Reverb is based on a reverb algorithm which uses the all-pass filter lattice topology and a delay grid with sixteen all-pass filters per channel. That’s the technical part of it, and I have to admit that I don’t understand any of it. The bottom line is, Lattice Reverb is a reverb plugin that uses some advanced mathematical algorithms to process sound.

The types of effects you can achieve with Lattice Reverb range from glitchy echoes and pitch-shifted delays to huge dark reverb and pure chaos. You can get some totally crazy sounds out of it.

Verberate

The free Verberate Basic is based on Verberate 2 and offers the same highly praised audio quality. The plug-in offers four high quality presets from Verberate 2 that showcase the quality and versatility of the algorithm:

Plate, a realistic simulation of plate reverb with the typical frequency dispersion and decay properties that give plate reverb the airy touch
Room, a beautiful and warm wooden room that gives a great sense of room without being obtrusive
Hall, a natural and gorgeous sounding hall
Lush Hall, a colorful out-of-world hall with frequency modulated tails that sounds amazing on synth pads
The intuitive user interface has buttons for each of the four reverb programs along with a mix knob that let’s you adjust the dry and reverb signal levels.

Devil soundz

Devil
Devil is a two oscillator analog subtractive wave table synthesize

Devil Bass Module
3 oscillators. The first oscillator is for the low basses the second oscillator is for mid basses and the third oscillator is for high basses.

Devil Drummr
Devil Drummr is a drum sampler that loads 16-bit wav files and has 11 parts. One part for each of bass, kick, snare, tom low, tom high, hi hat, cymbal and clap. Devil Drummr also has three extra parts for adding different instruments whether it be a triangle, bell, conga, shaker or sound fx or whatever you want.

Devil Reverb
Devil Reverb is a great sounding reverb for adding that extra melody and warmth to your instrument.

Vocal Reverb
Vocal Reverb works seamlessly with your vocals. Vocal Reverb has that perfect ambiance, tone and harmonics to match your vocals whether you have a real deep voice to a really high voice. Vocal Reverb doesn't have any after tone (or tail) either. So you can program Vocal Reverb to sound just like your voice while Vocal Reverb adds just that right amount of ambiance, tone and harmonics to your vocals.

subspace reverb

Zynaptiq has announced the release of Subspace, a "super-lush sounding, and totally streamlined" reverb plugin.

It is based on the allpass reverb module found in Zynaptiq's Morph 2, Wormhole and Adaptiverb plugins, and features just two controls: a switch that selects one of four presets – aptly named A, B, C and Z – and a dry-wet control.

Free and available exclusively to Zynaptiq newsletter subscribers.

Ambient reverb

The free high-quality reverberator of "Ambient Reverb" is intended first of all for operation with sound material in a ambient genre, though with success it can be applied also in other musical styles and the directions.

Distinctive feature of a plug-in is the broad range of reverberation time (up to 100 seconds) that allows to receive types of reverberation, different on character, and also an opportunity in a literal sense to freeze sounds, at the same time to receive interesting sound pads, like Frippertronics. The reverberator of "Ambient Reverb" works by the principle of algorithmic reverberation with calculation enough the dense sound reflections on time, allowing to receive realistic reverberation without effect of granularity.

Cloud Seed

Cloud Seed is an algorithmic reverb plugin built in C# and C++ for emulating huge, endless spaces and modulated echoes. The algorithms are based on the same principles as manu classic studio reverb units from the 1980's, but Cloud Seed does not attempt to model any specific device, or even to be a general-purpose reverb plugin at all. It is best employed as a special effect, for creating thick, lush pads out of simple input sounds.

Riviera reverb

Riviera is a hybrid algorithmic-convolution reverb plugin for modeling specular acoustic reflections in N-dimensional orthotopes. e.g. string, plate, room, tesseract, and up (vooms or volume+room for short). Normally, direct computation in these spaces is expensive but some clever maths reduced the asymptotic costs to the point of practical use (e.g. a Reverb plugin). Parameterizing these spaces and then combining them with some fast time-varying frequency decay resulted in some interesting sounding impulse responses (IRs).

Teufelsberg Reverb

Teufelsberg Reverb plugin. Put the sound of cold war surveillance into your music.

Based in a set of reverb impulse responses allowing you to use the acoustics of the main listening tower at the former NSA compound, Teufelsberg, in your own productions. Prior to the fall of the Berlin wall the compound was run by the American and British military with the main objective being to intercept and process any Soviet and Eastern Bloc communications as part of the ECHELON intelligence gathering network. You can find some excellent historical information in the links below, including a micro-documentary made by Vice in 2010.

Xhip Effects

Xhip Effects
xhe xxx-xated xffects?

These effect plugins were originally created for use with Xhip. Originally Xhip was to have embedded effects. It was later decided that external plugins would be more versatile and easier to manage when used for other tasks.

The latest version of the Xhip Effects bundle consists of 13 plugins in total: clipper, compressor, envelope follower, noise gate, limiter, delay, multiplier, phaser, s&h quantizer, rectifier, reverb, tremolo and ring modulator.

The quality of the included plugins is very high and it’s quite surprising that Xhip’s freeware effects aren’t more popular. As a toolbox for every day mixing and sound design tasks, the Xhip Effects collection works quite well, especially for users with slower machines. Xhip’s plugins are very well optimized and they use only a tiny fraction of the available CPU resources. In fact, this is one of the most lightweight FX bundles around in terms of storage requirements as well. The installer is only 620 KB in size.

Semantic Audio SAFE project

Semantic Plugins

The SAFE Project is motivated by the lack of statistically-defined transferable semantic terms in music production and the requirement for more intuitive control of low-level parameters. One of the main outcomes of the project is a suite of DAW plug-ins that allow you to both save and load semantic terms from within the audio production workflow. This means you can now control your audio effect plug-ins using terms that normal human beings can understand! Just type a term (such as warm, bright, etc…) into the text-box, and if we have it on our server, your parameters will be moved around to represent this. Similarly, if you achieve an effect that can be explained in semantic terms, input it into the box and hit save. As the plug-ins are based on the music production community, the more users that input terms, the more representative the effects become for everyone else!
